Georgia Southern University’s web standards and guidelines help ensure official university websites are accurate, accessible, consistent and easy to use. These resources support web editors, content managers and campus partners who create, review or maintain content on Georgia Southern websites.
Use the sections below to find guidance on web writing, accessibility, SEO, image and media use, data stewardship, editor roles, academic department content and University branding standards.
Website Access & Policy Reminder
All web editors are responsible for following University Communications & Marketing web standards, accessibility requirements and content governance policies. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in temporary loss of website access for up to 90 days. Access may only be restored after a revoked access meeting with Adam Sapp and Amy Huggins and any required follow-up training.
